Sri Lanka start India tour with good knock, take four Indian wickets only on 32 in first Test at Ahmadabad and bowled India on 426. Sri Lanka take huge lead (334) in first Innings with help of Mahela Jayawardene 275, and create world record for sixth wicket partnership (351) with his Brother Prasanna Jayawardene. But India bounce back in 2nd Innings Gambhir, Tendulkar Tons Secure Draw 1st Test.

Next two Test match at Kanpur and Mumbai India won by an innings and clinch the series by 2-0. Sehwag (293) misses third triple century at Mumbai. But India become No. 1 Test team after Mumbai win. Virender Sehwag declared player of the tournament in Test series.

In Twenty20 international Sri Lanka win first game at Nagpur by 29-runs, but India chase biggest total at Mohali and level the series. Sri Lanka skipper Kumara Sangakkara declared player of the series for his fifty in both match.

One-day series are most exited series but some shame in final one-day at Kotla because called off due to damp pitch. In 1st ODI India set big target for Lanka is 415, but Lankan all most chase this target just short off 3-runs. SL won 2nd ODI at Nagpur (shifted from Vishakhapatnam) on last ball. Indian skipper Dhoni banned for next two game because a slow over-rate, and Sehwag take the charge from Dhoni. Sehwag done his job clinch the ODI series at Kolkata.
