India start New Zealand tours with two defeat in Twenty20 International. But Indian bounce back in ODI series and win bag the series after three countinue win (2nd match abondoned by rain) and New Zealand won last One-day international by 8-wickets.

Virender Sehwag declared man of the match in ODI series. Sachin hits first One day series in New Zealand.

Test Series
  • In Test match, India win first Test after 1976 by 10-wickets. New Zealand down 6-wicket before lunch of Day one, but Jesse Ruder and skipper Vettori ton helps Kiwis all out on 279. Sachin smashed 160 run in 1st innings and India bowled out on 520.
  • Second match New Zealand declared first on 619/9 and force the follow on to India after all out in first innings on 305. But India bounce back in second innings with the help of Gambhir and Laxman not hundred India save the match.
  • in Third Test, India's worst fears came true as rain arrived with just two NZ wickets left. Taylor century and then had weather left the visitors cursing themselves for declaring late. nevertheless, India must be happy to win the series by 1-0.
  • Gautam Gambhir declared man of the series after highest run gatter 445 with two hunders.
