Zimbabwe Stun Bangladesh Again in Opener
19-Jan-2009 18:55:00 IST

Dhaka: Zimbabwe sneaked an excruciating two-wicket win over Bangladesh in the first of three matches in Mirpur, with Ray Price holding his nerve with the No. 10 Tawanda Mupariwa.

The 32-year-old Price recorded his career-best figures and then scored a match-winning 24 not out as Zimbabwe surpassed Bangladesh's modest 124 with four balls to spare.

It was Zimbabwe's second successive win over Bangladesh, having beaten the hosts by 38 runs in the recent tri-series in Dhaka that also featured Sri Lanka.

Brief Score: Zimbabwe 127 for 8 (Price 24*, Shakib 3-11, Mortaza 3-21) beat Bangladesh 124 (Price 4-22, Dabengwa 3-15) by two wickets
