New Zealand v Zimbabwe, 2nd Twenty20, Hamilton
Zimbabwe Opt to Bat Against NZ in Final T20
14-Feb-2012 06:01:00 GMT

Hamilton: Zimbabwe captain Brendan Taylor won the toss and elected to bat first in the second Twenty20 cricket international against New Zealand on Tuesday.

Zimbabwe made one change to its lineup, naming Stuart Matsikenyeri in place of Forster Mutizwa.

New Zealand made two changes, resting opener Martin Guptill who has made half centuries in his last five innings and naming Tim Southee in place of Doug Bracewell.

The Zimbabweans are yet to win an international match on their tour of New Zealand and Taylor said they hoped to achieve a more positive result.

He said "we feel we're better batting first with no total in front of us. The boys can go out and be free, enjoy the conditions and try to put a good total on the board."
