NZ tour of Bangladesh 2008/09, Second Test
Rain Washes Out 1st Day Of 2nd Test
25-Oct-2008 12:53:00 IST

Dhaka: Morning rain and an outfield made soggy by overnight showers forced play to be called off on Saturday on the first day of the second and final Test between Bangladesh and New Zealand.

Match referee Javagal Srinath announced the decision after a pitch inspection at lunchtime.

Play is scheduled to begin 30 minutes earlier on Sunday. New Zealand lead 1-0 of two Test series.

The prospect of catching up on the time lost is also unlikely with weather forecasts for the city predicting heavy showers for the next three days
