Pawar to Chair 2011 World Cup COC Meeting
07-Jan-2010 10:47:00 GMT

Dhaka: ICC vice-president and former BCCI chief Sharad Pawar will chair the 2011 World Cup Central Organising Committee (COC) meeting which will take place on Saturday.

Besides Pawar, adviser to the ICC IS Bindra, BCCI president Shashank Manohar and tournament director Ratnakar Shetty will also be attending the meeting, a Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) release said.

The high-profile quadrennial tournament will be jointly hosted by India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh next year.

Pawar, who would take over as the ICC president from David Morgan later this year, was also scheduled to attend the official launch of the World Cup in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar on the same day, the release stated.
