Mombasa: Ireland beat Kenya by six wickets in the first of three Twenty20 internationals between the sides in Mombasa on Wednesday.

Kenya were all out for 107 in their 20 overs after Ireland won the toss and elected to field.

George Dockrell took three Kenyan wickets and Alex Cusack and Max Sorensen two apiece.

Ireland replied with 109-4 off 15.3 overs, with Kevin O'Brien scoring 30 not out and Ed Joyce 24.

Tanray Mishra was Kenya's top scorer with 34.

George Dockrell ended with figures of 3-15, Sorensen took 2-17 and Cusack 2-11.

Boyd Rankin and Paul Stirling both took one wicket and there was one run out.

The Irish reached their target with more than four overs to spare and the teams will meet again over the same format on Thursday and Friday.
