Kanpur: India will be without the services of opening batsman Gautam Gambhir, who will be attending his sister's wedding, for the third Test against Sri Lanka in Mumbai.

In-form opener Gautam Gambhir will miss the third and final Test against Sri Lanka due to his sister's wedding on December 3, the BCCI said on Friday.

The selection committee, which was to meet on Saturday to pick the team for the Mumbai Test, decided to retain the same side.

Without Gambhir, the strength of the squad for the Mumbai Test will be 14.

The third Test will be played from December 2 to 6. The Test series will be followed by two Twenty20 internationals and a five-match one-day series.
