Five-layer Security for IPL Players in Chennai

Chennai: A five-layer security arrangement would be put in place for the players taking part in the Indian Premier League matches in Chennai, a top police official said on Thursday.

City Police Commissioner T Rajendran told reporters here that 1,500 police personnel would guard the the MA Chidambaram Stadium during the seven matches scheduled here from March 14.

He said the players would be brought under a five-layered security cover which would include the Special Action Group (SAG) and city police.
