Australia Cricket Team For Test Matches Against India Announced

Sydney: Cricket Australia’s National Selection Panel (NSP) on Friday announced a 15–man squad to tour India for a four-Test series October-November. Andrew Symonds left out from the squad. He is currently undergoing counselling after he was sent back from Darwin.

Shane watson will take over Symonds' all round responsibilities. Ricky Ponting and Matthew Hayden return after injuries and Ponting declared skipper of the Team.

Australia named four uncapped players - left-arm speedster Doug Bollinger, off-spinner Jason Krejza, leg-spinner Bryce McGain and pacer Peter Siddle in the sqaud.

Squad: Ricky Ponting (captain), Matthew Hayden, Phil Jaques, Michael Clarke (vice-captain), Simon Katich, Shane Watson, Michael Hussey, Doug Bollinger, Stuart Clark, Brad Haddin (Wicketkeeper), Brett Lee, Mitchell Johnson, Jason Krejza, Bryce McGain, Peter Siddle.
