Chester-le-Street: Only T20 international between England's and South Africa has been abandoned a day in advance because of heavy rain. The ICC match referee Roshan Mahanama met with ground staff on Tuesday and the decision was reached following discussions with both teams, and finally decided called off the game on Tuesday afternoon.
The teams are due to play on Friday at Headingley in the first ODI of five one-day internationals series.
